Following the closure of the main patient and visitor car park at CRH last Thursday, this week the fencing and hoardings will be installed around the old car park ahead of the initial works starting.
Chief Nurse, Lindsay Rudge, pictured on the Halifax Loop bus last week, said: “I’d like to thank colleagues for their support, whether trying out the new Park and Ride service, using the shuttle bus, or working with us as we closed the main car park. While we know that the temporary arrangements will be inconvenient, it’s encouraging for us all in the Executive Team to hear that colleagues understand the reasons why we’re doing it.
“Our patients and visitors have also told us they appreciate we’re doing all we can to ensure they continue to have a space to park, at what in many cases can be a worrying time for them.”
Temporary issue with some of the nighttime and weekend swipe access cards
Some of the new swipe access cards for colleagues who work nights and weekends at CRH are not working. We are working on a solution. In the meantime, if your card is faulty please take a paper ticket and buzz to get out.
We would be grateful if you would report any failures by email to: syhiba.rasul@cht.nhs.uk
Bus signage
Each bus has signage in the front window to explain the route, or next stop.
Using the HRI to CRH shuttle?
- Please do not park in the front car park as this is designated patient and visitor parking during the day, and you may receive a fine.
- For health and safety reasons, the buses can also only stop at designated bus stops. So in the front car park at HRI and the Women's and Children's bus stop points.
Parking in Cedar Court's Car Park?
You'll need to register your vehicle (so that they know you are a CHFT colleague). You can scan the hotel QR code on the bus or use the machine in the main entrance. See the instructions on where to park and more here - there is also an attachment below.
Halifax Loop – High Street stop information
A barrier will soon be installed at our section of the High Street Car Park. It will be linked to our Nexus Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system and will only allow cars into the car park that are registered. If you are yet to register on the system, please see the car parking pages for all the information.
Are you getting dropped off or picked up from work?
Thanks for helping us keep the road around the main entrance at CRH clear. If you are getting a lift to and from work, please arrange to be dropped off and picked up nearby.
