Our Catering Team at HRI are working with the Waste Management Team to make sure that food waste is segregated properly into solids and liquids.

A new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been drawn up and will be shared with colleagues this week.

Waste Management Officer, Nigel Murphy, said: "A big part of our costs is in the weight of the food we dispose of. This is because food and liquid is currently mixed together. Removing the liquid out of food waste will significantly reduce our costs."
