Our Pride flags were raised last week to kick-off our annual CHFT Pride Month.
Our Pride Network Chair, Naomi Roberts, was joined by Nikki Scholey, Community Engagement Lead for Overgate Hospice, who is linking in with all our network chairs.
Naomi said: "The flag is more than just bright colours. It is a symbol of our commitment to inclusion and equality, and of our belief that everyone deserves to be seen and valued, no matter who you are, who you love, or how you identify. This is our way of saying to our colleagues, friends and patients; We see you. We support you and this is a safe space for you to be your most authentic self. One in five LGBTQ+ people still feel the need to hide who they are in a healthcare setting. That's why what we are doing matters so much. So let's get it flying and show them what it means to truly be proud!”
