Last Friday Gynaecology Ward Manager, Rachel Fielder, completed her head shave to support her colleague Yvonne and to raise money for our CHFT Charity.

Colleagues, friends and family joined in on Friday to all help shave a bit of hair from Rachel, and almost £1,500 has been raised in total so far.

Rachel said: "The most expensive haircut in Yorkshire feels like a tennis ball! I am blown away by the generosity of our CHFT family, patients, relatives and friends. Thank you to everyone that has supported me in this venture. My colleagues and friends have been fabulous and very supportive."

Charity Manager, Emma Kovaleski, said: "It was so touching to see how well supported Rachel was and how loved she is as a colleague and person. She is caring and compassionate - an incredibly kind lady.

"Rachel is one of the few who would go to the extreme lengths of shaving her head for one of her colleagues. We are really proud and thankful for the donations she has received so far."
