The patient and visitor-only car park near the main entrance of CRH will close fully from this Thursday, 1st August to prepare for the construction of the new multi-storey car park.
To help clear the car park in a timely manner, no cars will be able to enter the car park from 17:00 on Wednesday 31st July. Cars will be able to exit the following morning, and visitors and patients will be signposted to alternative car parks via the Godfrey Road and Dudwell Lane entrances. The image below shows where the temporary staff parking spaces are for drop-offs, on-call and Blue Badge holders.
Our new temporary Park and Ride service has been put in place to support colleagues who will be displaced from parking at CRH, as almost all our parking spaces will be for patient and visitor parking only.
Important information and reminders:
Revised shuttle bus and Park and Ride timetables
There will be an additional bus at peak times to help ease capacity pressures on the HRI to CRH shuttle. At these times buses will leave every 15 minutes, providing an extra 16 seats per hour. There will be no pick-ups from Cedar Court after 10am, and drop-offs at Cedar Court will be by request only. The timetable for the evening shuttle bus service departing CRH to HRI will also change slightly to better align with key finish times and shift patterns.
Colleagues have asked for clarification on where the Cedar Court bus will pick up and drop off, and where the spaces are. When you enter the main car park, drive past the hotel and then turn left to head towards the back of the hotel. Our spaces will be marked and the bus will stop on Lindley Moor Road. The image below shows the stop.
Following the first week’s trial of the Halifax Loop timetable, we’ve made a few changes to make pick-up times more consistent across all stops. This means that buses will leave stops every 15 minutes during peak times.
Edited Monday 12 August 24 with the most up to date timetables.
See the new HRI to CRH shuttle timetable here, and the Halifax Loop times here. It's a request stop on the return to Cedar Court from CRH.
