Our Pharmacy Department recently welcomed five internationally-educated pharmacists for a successful eight-week placement.
The pharmacists, who are studying a Masters at the University of Huddersfield, fed back what a great experience they had and that they enjoyed working with all the pharmacy teams.
Senior Educator, Rosie Bevan, said "The team also fed back that the pharmacists and technicians were incredibly supportive, and the placement was invaluable in developing their knowledge and skills. This has helped them gain a better understanding of the NHS. All have said they would now like a job in a hospital pharmacy!"
Internationally-educated Pharmacist, Laya Antony, said: "Thank you for giving us an opportunity to work with you all. It was so helpful that we achieved a new world of clinical knowledge, and we learned new things overall. Thank you so much for your great support."
Rosie added: "This has been a fantastic opportunity, as CHFT's pharmacy student numbers will be increasing from September to incorporate recent changes to the General Pharmaceutical Council's education standards. We look forward to welcoming the students from the University of Huddersfield and the University of Bradford."
