Our new temporary Park and Ride service began today, and here's a picture of the first bus leaving Cedar Court this morning on the way to CRH.

Supply Chain Lead, Margaret Green (pictured second from left), was the first to arrive at Cedar Court. She said: “You’ve got to give it a go. If we don’t try it, how will we know if it works? Lots of hard work and effort has gone into all the planning so that we can start extending CRH. We have to move with the times."

Midwife, Jenny Donaghey (second from right), said: “I was tempted to drive in as the car parks are still open, but felt it was the right thing to try the new service.“

You can collect your permit at a time that's convenient for you.

Take a photo of your green dashboard permit or swipe access card number and email it to car.parking@cht.nhs.uk with the following information:

  1. What you need, e.g. a Park and Ride permit (QR code sticker), an on-call dash permit or a nighttime and weekend dash permit.
  2. Which site you wish to collect from (e.g. HRI or CRH)

The team will email you when it’s ready to collect at the reception desk of your choice.

Remember: You must be registered on our Nexus Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system to park in any of the park and ride car parks. Find the information on the car parking pages of the intranet.

Edited Monday 12 August 24 with the most up to date timetables.

See the new HRI to CRH shuttle timetable here, and the Halifax Loop times here. It's a request stop on the return to Cedar Court from CRH.

Please note: If you need the Cedar Court stop on the way up to HRI, please tell the driver as it's now a request stop.

Accessing High Street Car Park (on the Halifax Loop)

Please enter the car park from King Cross Street. Take the turning at the closed Beehive and Cross Keys public house.

The main car park at CRH will be closed from Thursday 1st August

This is when our parking restrictions come into force. If you have decided to pause your permit (and waive the right to park in any Trust car parks) you will no longer pay from this date, and there will be strict enforcement to ensure our patients and visitors can access parking spaces.

CRH shuttle bus drop off

From today the buses will all stop outside the Women's and Children's entrance.
