After almost 20 years of playing the Staff Lottery, CHS Supply Chain Manager, Jaqui Yuen, has finally won the £1,000 top prize.

As well as treating her team to some tasty treats, Jaqui will be splashing out when she goes on holiday for a Boston and New England coastal road trip, hooking up in Cape Cod with an old friend who emigrated to New York more than 10 years ago.

Jaqui said: “I didn't realise that I’d won for a couple of hours and then I thought it was a scam email! For once I was speechless - for about 30 seconds anyway - until people started asking me for money as they'd heard the announcement on CHFT Live!”

“I am proof that one day it could be you, plus the funding helps provide non-essential items to improve the workplace for colleagues at CHFT.”

• Around 50% of the money paid by colleagues through their salary is paid out in prizes each month.
• It costs £2 per line, which is paid from your salary
• The main monthly prize is £1000, with a £5000 jackpot paid out in November
• The remaining funds are used to benefit the health and wellbeing of colleagues and patients, through bids made to the committee.
