Lead Medical Secretary, Tegan Joseph, has been overwhelmed with the amount of kind donations she has received for those affected by Hurricane Beryl so far. So much so that empty boxes would now be appreciated if colleagues have any to donate.
Hurricane Beryl devastated many areas of the Caribbean leaving people without food or shelter. Tegan asked for donations that she would drop-off to be sent to the places in need. Since then, Tegan has received donation after donation from our kind-hearted colleagues and wanted to share her appreciation.
When she explained to her family in Carriacou (one of the places badly affected by the hurricane) about how CHFT colleagues had come together to support her efforts, there were tears all round.
A reminder that the drop-off points are the Palliative Care Office at HRI and Palliative Care Macmillan Unit at CRH if you would like to donate items or your empty boxes.
If you would like to donate, the following items would still be appreciated:
- Non-perishable food items
- Batteries and powerbanks
- Hygiene items
- Nappies
- Children's and adults' clothing
- Sealed bottled water
