After working in the NHS for 35 years, THIS Project Manager, Dave Armitage, will soon be hanging up his Gantt Chart as he's due to retire at the end of the month.

Dave has been with The Health Informatics Service from the very beginning as a stalwart of the Project Management Office. His leadership, wisdom, humour and friendship will be sorely missed by everyone he has supported and helped over the years.

THIS PMO Manager, Julie Howson, said: "The number of projects Dave has successfully managed within CHFT are too numerous to mention. But if the project was large, complex or difficult, his name would be the first that came to mind as the Project Manager who could get the job done!"

His colleagues recently set up a memory page where they've been sharing their well wishes, funny moments and happy memories of working with Dave:

Professional Services Support Officer, Hayley Gray, said: "I have known Dave since I started working with him at Kirkdale House (a long time ago) and I thought he was called Tarquin!

"The project office started off as a very small team at Kirkdale House. Due to Dave’s determination, knowledge and a desire to see colleagues develop and fulfil their potential, the team started to grow. He has played a big part in making the PMO what it is today."

THIS Project Manager, Matthew Griffiths, commented on the below photo of Dave saying: "This was the day Dave decided to give me a run for my money with my famously large headset. Not one to be outdone, Dave whipped up his own 'prototype' headset from office supplies and proudly posed for a photo.

"His infectious humour and his ability to find joy in the little things made every project milestone a little brighter."

If you would like to share your own message with Dave you can do so via the Memory Page.
