NHS England's Waiting List Management MOOC (massive open online course) developed by their Elective Improvement Support team is now open for registration.
The Elective Care Fundamentals course focuses on the development of the core skills required to manage elective waiting lists. It introduces resources and tools through a practical, structured learning-in-action approach.
NHS staff can work through the five, one-hour content modules at their own pace and interact with peers and experienced tutors from the Elective Care Improvement Support team (IST) through the learning platform.
The Waiting List Management MOOC will be running for eight weeks from 29 July to 23 September 2024 with another cohort planned to run later in the year.
To participate you will need to register for the course, delegates will need to be registered with their official NHS email on our QI Learning Platform and enrol on the course. In readiness, please follow these registration instructions as soon as possible:
1. If delegates have already registered on the QI Learning Platform, then they simply need to enrol.
2. If they have not already registered on the platform, please do so by visiting the QI Learning Platform page. Then they simply need to enrol.
You will be able to access the full range of online materials once you have registered on the platform, enrolled on the course and the course has opened. The CPD UK has officially CPD accredited the course meaning you can gain 10 CPD points on completion. The course materials and resources will remain available for eight weeks until the course closes.
Feedback from the last Waiting List Management MOOC has been positive, with 91% of delegates that completed the course and survey said they would recommend the course to their NHS colleagues.
