The CNO Safer Staffing Fellowship Programme/MSc in healthcare workforce planning, delivery and assurance is open for applications to their February 2025 and March 2025 cohorts. This fully accredited Masters’ level programme with Birmingham City University has been running successfully since 2019 and is aimed at senior nurses and midwives from all clinical settings with workforce planning, delivery and assurance responsibilities' core to their role, in mental health, learning disabilities, acute and community sectors.

They are particularly keen to see an increase in applicants from mental health, learning disability services, midwifery, community and from colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds and other underrepresented groups. In line with their vision of having a Fellow in each organisation, they particularly welcome applicants from Trusts without any Fellows.

Application forms must be countersigned by a Chief Nurse or Director of Nursing to demonstrate commitment as a sponsor.
