As part of CHFT's Sustainability Week, our CHS colleagues are asking colleagues to share their awareness of sustainability at CHFT. Your feedback will support further green initiatives helping us create a more sustainable future together. Please complete this short survey by Monday, 1st July.

The NHS is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040. The NHS Net Zero targets aim to reduce our carbon footprint and create a healthier environment for everyone.

Our Green Plan sets out the vision for sustainability across CHFT, outlining specific strategies including energy-efficient practices and sustainable resource management.

The NHS is responsible for more than 25% of total public sector emissions, so our plan prioritises the procurement of low/ultra-low emission vehicles and supports the development of an efficient estate and operational environment.

For more information on what CHFT is doing to ensure we hit our 2040 target, please see our Green Plan at CHFT Green Plan (chs-limited.co.uk).

Next week we’ll cover Clean Air Day – and let you know how you can get a free tree sapling, so watch this space.
