Our ENT colleagues are paying tribute to their late colleague Dr. Thida Than, who has died suddenly.

Thida worked in ENT for more than 20 years and was a well-respected and much-loved member of the ENT team. She was originally from Burma and was a devout Buddhist. Between working for the NHS and doting on her two grandchildren, she led a very busy life.

ENT Medical Secretary, Carole Halls, said: "I knew Dr Than for many years. She was caring and compassionate and looked after all of us - often bringing in cakes and biscuits.

"We wanted a bit of a memorial to her, so some of my ENT colleagues and I got together and thought of this drawing to help remember her. Our resident artist Healthcare Assistant, Keeley Thornton, agreed to draw the lovely picture."

Thida's husband loved the idea and told Carole: "Thida gave her life to the NHS, and ENT!"

He has set up a donation page for breast cancer research in Thida's name should colleagues wish to donate: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/DeM2eQjoDSFK1WSi/
