Our Research and Development event, Expanding Research Within Roles and Developing Partnerships Programme, was held last Tuesday to coincide with International Clinical Trials Day.

Research and Development Lead, Tracy Wood, said: “The day went amazingly well with 80 people joining our team on the day. The level of energy and buzz in the room was palpable.

“What was great was seeing how open everyone was toward sharing good practice.

“I heard so many comments from attendees about the diversity of content and our excellent speakers - many left enthused and inspired to look at research in their own areas.

“There were some great discussions about future collaborations with external partners like South West Yorkshire Partnership Trust, Kirklees and Calderdale Councils, West Yorkshire ICB and Yorkshire and Humber Applied Research Collaboration (YHARC).”

Deputy Medical Director and our Director for R&D, Neeraj Bhasin, said: "The event was amazing, and highlighted the huge achievements of both our R&D Team and the whole research community in the Trust.

"It showed the excellent working relationship we have with partners locally, regionally, and nationally, and demonstrated the aspirations to build on this, and contribute even more in developing future treatments for our patients."
