A new incident reporting system called InPhase will replace our current risk management software reporting system, Datix, by November. It’s a comprehensive platform designed to streamline incident reporting, analysis, and management processes.

InPhase offers numerous benefits, including enhanced functionality, improved user experience, and better integration with existing systems. It will enable us to track and manage incidents, leading to better patient safety and quality of care more effectively.

It will also help us capture and analyse incident data more effectively, leading to improved identification of trends, targeted interventions, and ultimately, better patient outcomes. It will also enable collaboration and communication among teams to drive continuous improvement.

Online training and access to user guides are available now. It’s a one-time training package and once complete will be uploaded to colleagues’ ESR records.

Feedback so far is that the training is easy to complete and that the new system appears much easier to use.

How to access the training

  1. Follow the link below
  2. When you get to the sign in screen, if you are new to InPhase you should select ‘New to InPhase Support? Sign Up’, or sign in if you have already registered
  3. There are several modules on the training platform, please complete the Incidents Module and complete the accreditation test following the module.

If you want to proceed and do the other modules, please do so.  The report builder session is not for all colleagues, so please do not complete this at the present time.
