We are calling for volunteers to support the opening of our new Emergency Department at HRI. The new department opens at 00:01 on Wednesday 22 May and there will be a period where both the current and new department will run in tandem.

We’re seeking colleagues to help us from 9pm on Tuesday, 21st May until approximately 2pm Wednesday, 22nd May in a number of roles:

• Serving drinks to patients in the current ED overnight until it closes
• Meeting, greeting and signposting people who arrive on foot at HRI
• Supporting the A&E team with the move between the two departments – eg fetching supplies or pieces of equipment

You can volunteer for as much or as little as you’d like although we would prefer a minimum of two hours to enable us to cover the transition period. Please speak with your line manager before applying if you would like to take back time in lieu.
