Yorkshire Fertility Admin Assistant and new mum, Kate, has been in touch to applaud our maternity colleagues for the care she and her son, Thomas, received. She also wanted to give a special mention to her colleagues in Yorkshire Fertility who helped her throughout her IVF journey.

Kate said: "Please pass on our sincere thanks to the maternity staff on Labour Ward at CRH, in particular to Midwife, Veronica Walker and Student Midwife, Katie Hibbert. Between them they helped deliver our precious son, Thomas James Allen, in the early hours of Monday, 19th February. They deserve a huge shout-out for looking after us both. They were so kind, friendly and caring and kept me as calm as possible when I was most vulnerable. They did a fantastic job and I'm so grateful to them. They are a huge asset to CHFT, and I can't praise them, or the staff on the neonatal unit who looked after Thomas for us, enough. Thank you!

"Thomas was also an IVF baby through Yorkshire Fertility where I also happen to work as an admin assistant. My journey through my pregnancy was not straightforward. I would like to give a big heartfelt shout-out to all my colleagues there and although she does not work for CHFT anymore, Dr Jacob, without her positive outlook and expertise I don't think this dream would have been possible. They are a brilliant team to work with, all such hard workers and they do an amazing job. It's a pleasure to work with each and every one of them."
