Former Catering Assistant Facilities Manager, Ashley Robinson, is moving to the Domestic Team – and it’s not the first time he’s had a leaving do, after trying new things before, ‘down under’ and ‘down south’.

Facilities Manager for Catering Services, Adrian Brown, said: “Ash has left the department again.  This has happened before. Once he went travelling around Australia for a year and the second time when he moved to Brighton to run a pub and restaurant.

“All-in-all, I think within CHS and the Trust, if anything, he’s famous for having more leaving dos for himself, than most will get in a lifetime.

“Ashley returned for his longest stint taking firstly a bank role as a cook, before taking up a permanent chef role alongside me in December 2007.

“After proving himself, he progressed to Assistant Facilities Manager for catering in 2017 and has been an integral part of the department’s development and progression.

“He has earned the respect of colleagues both within CHS and CHFT, and we wish him well and all the best in his future role.”
