It's not only the Race Equality Network that's having a relaunch. Read more about our Staff Disability Network refresh from its Chair, Tina Knight, below.

Hello, My name is Tina Knight, and I am chair the Staff Disability Network. My day job is lead nurse/clinical manager of the Pain Service.

The Disability Network was set up in 2019 as the Colleague Disability Action Group (CDAG), but more recently has been renamed as Staff Disability Network

We had pressed pause on the Network for a few months to do a reset, but now we are back, and the aim for the Network in 2024 is to welcome members old and new, with any kind of disability visible or non-visible.

This year we aim to continue the work around accessibility, and identify barriers, taking into consideration the results of the recent staff survey and how staff with a disability are reporting being treated differently to other staff, so we need you to help us shape things going forward.

I can't say we can change everything, but by identifying issues we can then start and highlight areas for change.

Some of the things we have worked on over the last year are a staff disability passport, a dedicated buyer in Procurement for all things disability and input into inclusion topics.

In order for this reset to happen, we need you to sign up to the Network again. We all know how getting emails about something you are not interested in can be irritating, so please complete the quick form below. It gives colleagues the chance to sign up at the bottom, and there are a few questions that will help us know what you want the Network to be https://forms.office.com/e/bD1qSDD6hm
