We are delighted to announce that our new accident and emergency department at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary will open to the public on Wednesday 22nd May.

The new facility will open to patients just after midnight in the early hours of Wednesday 22nd May. All services currently based in the existing A&E on North Drive will transfer across to the new facility on South Drive when it opens for patient care.

Between now and then we will complete the remaining works, do a final check and provide training for the teams who will be working in the new department.

We will provide an update on the arrangements for the transfer nearer the time.
