Our colleagues in the Pharmacy Dispensary Department at CRH will be moving back to their previous ground floor location later this month.

Their shiny new dispensary has undergone significant refurbishment and installation of a brand-new pharmacy robot called Tom, the namesake of their Volunteer, Tom Hoyle, who has given up his time for five years to help the team.

The dispensary has been operating from a temporary 3rd floor location since last October and the team are excited to move back to their old home.

As a thank you to all CHFT colleagues for supporting the team through this period of change, they're holding an open day so that colleagues can come along and view the refurbished area. They'll also be able to see Tom (the robot) in action, and the 'real' Tom has also been invited along too.

So if you're passing, pop in on Tuesday, 16th April anytime between 11:00 and 16:00. All are welcome. You can get to the new space near to Rowlands Pharmacy - there will be signage in place.

Clinical Director of Pharmacy, Lis Street, said, “Massive thanks, shout-out (and very big hugs) to all those who have helped make this business case happen and transform our dispensary into a new space that we are incredibly proud of. Tom the pharmacy robot is a welcome new member of our team and we are very excited for you to see it in action.”

The refurbished pharmacy has new collection lockers to allow ward teams to collect items after the department has closed.

More details about pharmacy’s move will be shared soon.
