We know it's almost tropical out there today, but what a huge effort by so many colleagues as the snow hit us overnight on Thursday, before turning to sheet ice on Friday night.
From cross-country runs, to treks with walking poles, there were some heroic efforts by so many colleagues to get into work, and our social media channels were swamped with shout-outs. There were also 'We survived the snow' badges for theatre colleagues at CRH, thanks to Sindy Carter, who works in recovery.
We'd also like to say a big thank you to our estates teams who worked tirelessly to clear snow and grit the pavements to help keep people safe.
Our community colleagues braced the sub-zero temperatures all day and night to ensure patients received visits in their homes and received their medications on time - we've popped some of their photos in a standalone story today.
And, showing true compassionate care, the Children's Ward at CRH brought some joy inside for our paediatric patients who couldn't get outside to enjoy the snow. They built snowmen on the Ward instead!
Trainee Nursing Associate, Karen Greenwood, was saved by her husband as her taxi was cancelled. They picked up a student nurse who had already walked much of the way from Bradford. She said: "We saw a young chap with a rucksack and both agreed he must be walking to work! So we pulled up and asked where was going, which was CRH. I showed him my lanyard and asked if he wanted a lift. He had walked from Bradford and was a Student Nurse on the acute ward. Special thanks to my husband for getting us both to work 7am."
Here's a selection of some of the images from our snow shout-outs.
