There's just a week left for colleagues to tell us about equipment they no longer need as part of our Dump the Junk campaign, which coincides with Global Recycling day next Monday, 18th March.
We want to know about all the equipment we are keeping in our work areas that is no longer used. This is so we can recycle it, store it, or put it into the appropriate waste stream.
We're asking for the information so we can make sure we have the space to store things, as well as helping items reach the correct waste streams.
Please tell us what you have and where it is. This includes important IT kit and medical devices (even if you don’t think they work anymore), as well as standard things like tables, chairs and cupboards.
Please don’t log jobs with porters just yet, as the team want to gather the information via the form below so they can coordinate the work. And do remember that if you plan to have filing cabinets removed, to empty them of all their files first, disposing of them appropriately.
How to tell us what you have
Please complete this form by Monday, 18th March. It’s worth checking with your manager to make sure that only one entry per area is submitted.
Please note that IT equipment (computers, Zebra handheld devices, printers etc.) and medical devices (intended for medical use) are not junk. They should not be disposed of in the regular waste stream. However, we will still organise the collection.
What happens next?
The team will collate the responses and be in touch to organise a collection.
