CHFT's Lower Valley Ageing Well Team have partnered with the Lower Valley Primary Care Network in Brighouse to arrange an anti-ageism day on Wednesday, 20th March.
There will be a variety of activities to take part in on the day, including holistic therapies provided by Overgate Hospice and boccia sessions from Home Instead. There will also be a clothes swap area and a memory sharing activity over tea, coffee and cake.
The team from Lower Valley will also be present to talk to people about their services including Ageing Well Practitioner, Jackie Wilkinson, who said: "The whole day is about challenging the narrative around ageing and preconceived thoughts about getting older.
"We want people to come and really enjoy themselves, hopefully making new friends, developing an awareness of the different services in the community and within primary care in a relaxed and informal setting, and everyone is welcome."
The event is open to everyone and is taking place between 12pm and 4pm at Bridge House Care Home in Brighouse, HD6 4BQ.
