We are constantly reviewing how we can strengthen our current security measures to help keep our patients and colleagues safe.
From Monday 1st April, if you have not used your ID badge to gain entry to or exit from a ward or department area during the last six months, you will need to reapply to have your badge reinstated. This is because it will have been noted on the system as unused.
Our locations include wards, departments, and main entrance points at HRI, CRH, Broad Street, The Rainbow Community Hub, THIS and CHS at Elland.
This applies to me. What can I do?
Colleagues are advised to use their badge now to gain access or leave an area, to make sure their badge is not removed from the system after 1st April.
If you try this but have issues with access, please ask for Radu Crisan at the main security desk at HRI. For CRH, please contact Mandy Taylor from the Service Performance Team. Call (22) 2530.
Line managers should ensure that colleagues return ID badges as part of the leaver process.
What happens next?
Later this month we will share details of how you can apply to have your ID reinstated, along with details of where to take them so that security can physically add your ID back onto our system.
