A new app which allows colleagues to draw down pay as they earn it launches at CHFT next Monday, 11 March. 

Wagestream is a financial wellbeing app that gives colleagues access to a toolkit of simple-to-use financial products and services to help them feel more in control of the money they work for.

Colleagues can track earnings to support financial planning. And they will be able to draw down (withdraw) a percentage of money already earned almost immediately. The system integrates into our NHS payroll, ESR and financial processes.

Of those people already using the app, 38 per cent have avoided going into overdraft, 43 per cent didn’t need to resort to a payday loan and 67 per cent felt more in control of their finances.

You can also put a little money aside each month to build your financial health, cover unexpected costs or treat yourself. There are many more ways to make your money go further with vouchers, a benefits checker and more.

The app can be used from next Monday, 11th March. We’re finalising the details and will share more over the coming weeks. The Workforce Benefits Team are also adding lots of information and resources to their intranet pages this week, ready for the launch.
