Our Gynaecology Cancer Team at CHFT are the now the top performing trust in North East and Yorkshire for the 62-day combined performance and cancer waiting time target.

This means that 100% of our patients are diagnosed and start treatment within 62 days of a referral.

Deputy Medical Director and Radiology Consultant, Nikhil Bhuskute, said: "The teams have worked hard collaboratively to transform how cancer referrals are managed, with a majority of patients being clinically triaged to a diagnostic investigation.

"This has significantly sped up the pathway for patients, and the result is they are accessing treatment earlier and patient anxiety is reduced. This is in spite of the challenges of 37% more cancer referrals since 2019."

Across West Yorkshire and Harrogate, CHFT is the only trust to meet all gynaecological cancer waiting times targets:

• Two Week Wait: CHFT 100%, target 93%
• FDS ( Fast diagnostic standards): CHFT 91.4%, target = 75%.  Currently 2nd out of 21 trusts
• Day 62: CHFT 100 %, target 85%, 1st out of 21 trusts
• Day 31: CHFT 100%, target 96% Joint 1st (9) out of 21 Trust
