A National Day of Reflection to mark the Covid pandemic will take place on Sunday, 3rd March.

It's an opportunity for reflection on the challenges we all faced and the losses we experienced. It also gives us the chance to remember the tireless efforts of our colleagues to look after our patients and each other, with kindness and compassion.

Tell your story

Sharing personal experiences can be a powerful way to connect with colleagues. By hearing and understanding our collective experiences, we can help build a supportive workplace. To mark this annual event, we are asking colleagues to share their stories, reflections, and experiences of working through the pandemic.

This can be done through video submission or in writing. As we reflect on the challenges faced it's also a chance to celebrate our ethos of One Culture of Care, when we saw countless acts of kindness, solidarity, and perseverance that emerged out of adversity.

Please see the guidance below on how to record your story, whether it be on video or as a photograph and in writing. Once complete, please send to the engagement.team@cht.nhs.uk

Whilst the pandemic has passed, we know that the upcoming event may trigger memories, and we are committed to supporting colleagues’ mental and emotional wellbeing with support. Colleagues who wish to access support, can either email our Wellbeing Team at wellbeing@cht.nhs.uk for guidance and support or access our range of wellbeing information and resources on our colleague wellbeing intranet page.
