The Orthopaedic Outpatients Team are hoping to make their department more friendly and inviting for the children who attend, by raising funds with a Valentine's raffle.
The department cares for a lot of children, both in fracture clinics and dedicated children’s clinics. Many of the children they see have complex needs, and may go through procedures which they find scary or uncomfortable. The funds the team are raising will be invested into a dedicated play area for the department, full of sensory toys and activities designed to help distract the children whilst they undergo their procedure.
The team are hosting a Valentine's raffle to help raise the funds needed. They’ve put together some fantastic prizes including an air fryer, tickets for Huddersfield Giants and Huddersfield Town games, a family photo session and more.
Tickets can be bought from Orthopaedic Outpatients at HRI and CRH and cost £2 per ticket. The draw will take place on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday 14th February.
