Finance PA, Rochelle Scargill, will be upgrading her windows this year thanks to a thousand-pound win in the first Staff Lottery of the year.

Rochelle is part of the wider Lottery Committee, who gather monthly to draw the winning numbers.

Rochelle said: “Fellow committee member Rebecca Irving had said how she really hoped she’d win this month, so when I joined this month's meeting a little late and I heard ‘I don’t believe it’ – I thought her name had been picked!

“You can see the surprise on my face when I found out it was me. It took me a while to think about what I was going to spend it on, and then I saw the light – literally – as my windows need updating.”

• The main prize is £1000 monthly, with a £5000 jackpot paid out in November
