Locala Health and Wellbeing’s email system has been confirmed as meeting NHS Digital’s Secure Email Standard (DCB1596) – ensuring that sensitive and confidential information is kept secure.

From today Monday, 8th January Locala will begin the process of removing @nhs.net email addresses previously used by Locala staff, as these are no longer required.

In future, Locala staff will only use their @locala.org.uk email accounts for sending and receiving sensitive and confidential information.

If you have nhs.net accounts saved for Locala staff, please update your records.

If you receive information via email from a @locala.org.uk email address please be assured that this is being sent by an NHS Digital approved secure email. For more information on NHS Digital’s Secure Email Standard please click here.
