Last week, colleagues on Ward 6 at HRI helped patient, Sidney Goodwin, celebrate his 100th birthday.

Ward Manager, Sarah Bray, said: "We decorated his side room for him, and we were about to get him a cake, but his family had already got him one. And of course we sang happy birthday.

"Sidney and his wife, Norma, received a card from Her Majesty the Queen for their anniversary and now a card from King Charles and Queen Camilla for his birthday.

"I'm pretty sure there won't be many people with cards from both monarchs."
