If you've booked a place onto either the Adult Basic Life Support or the Paediatric Basic Life Support sessions but find you are unable to attend, please make sure you cancel your session so others can have your place.

Resuscitation Training Officer, Juliet Hendrick, said: “These sessions are in huge demand and despite staff booking onto sessions, there are frequent non-attenders.

“This means wasted spaces that other staff could have accessed. If you are no longer able to attend a booked session, it is really important to withdraw your place to allow others to attend.”

The following was recorded over a 12-week period:

• Adult basic life support - 68 places booked but not attended.
• Paediatric basic life support - 19 places booked but not attended.
