The University of Huddersfield’s apprentice provision has been awarded an outstanding rating by Ofsted following a recent inspection, which means that learners at CHFT are receiving Ofsted rated outstanding apprenticeships.
Matron for Workforce Development, Vicki Power, said: “The University is our main provider for nursing and ODP apprenticeships and to have this formal recognition regarding the apprenticeships is fantastic.
“It was a pleasure to work with them so closely during the inspection, including taking part in apprentice and employer interviews.
“We have a fantastic working relationship with our colleagues at the University and their grading means that our learners are receiving Ofsted-rated outstanding apprenticeships. “
Huddersfield is only the second university to be awarded Ofsted’s outstanding rating for its apprenticeship provision in the last four years. They currently deliver apprenticeships to over 600 learners across the Yorkshire and Humber region, mostly in healthcare.
Head of Apprenticeships and Widening Participation, Liam Whitehead, said: “Our recent new partnership for the L7 and L5 Management and Leadership apprenticeships have also been greatly received and will go a long way in helping us to retain and develop our future leaders.”
