Colleagues in the Empower Class of 2023 graduated last week, having made a huge network of new friends and contacts along the way, as well as supporting their own personal development.
The Empower Programme is for any colleague with an interest in investing time in their self-development. The inclusive programme is designed to help colleagues grow to empower themselves to make a difference in their roles and community, as well as unlocking talent within the Trust.
Children and Young People Governance Co-ordinator, Helen Finelli (third left), said: “One of the best things about the Empower programme is having a whole new and growing group of colleagues at CHFT that I can link in with to bounce ideas off, or just ask for support.”
Specialist Nurse for Radiology, Clare Andrews (seventh left), was effusive about the support she’d had from her mentor (everyone on the programme is assigned a mentor for support).
She said: “I had some amazing support and one-on-one time with my mentor, Workforce Reconfiguration Lead, Ria Green. She was just brilliant.
“One of the biggest takeaways for me personally was realising I can’t control everyone around me, I can only aim to influence them.”
