Last week our Support and Independence Team said a fond farewell to Falls Prevention Practitioner, Cath Crowther, as she retired following a career of 25 years here at CHFT.
Admin Officer, Ann-Marie Leach, said: "Rehabilitation has always been Cath’s passion, particularly with the elderly.
Cath started working as a Rehabilitation Assistant in 1998, and then transferred to CRH when it opened. She became an Assistant Practitioner in the Community in 2007, where she has worked on the development of the Falls Prevention Programme, raising Falls awareness in Calderdale.
"She has been instrumental in the development and running of the Finding your Feet Classes which are held in Central, Lower and Upper Calderdale.
"We've worked out that Cath has carried out almost 2,400 Falls Assessments over the years!
"We know that Cath plans to travel and spend more time with her family and her dog Zac."
