Today sees our next cohort of student nurses and allied healthcare professionals (AHPs) from Huddersfield University join us for their digital placements.
The group of two nursing and two OT students will spend this week learning more about our use of technology in caring for our patients. And next week they’ll spend time with the Change Team looking at all the digital projects within the trust and how these are implemented. The student nurses and AHP students will also be working together for a few days looking at a virtual reality headset and how this can be used in rehabilitation for patients.
Chief Nurse Information Officer, Louise Croxall, fifth from the right, said: “Our first cohort of student nurses were impressed by their time spent here at CHFT earlier this year, so I’m hoping we’ll have a similar reaction.
“With CHFT being in the national news more and more, sharing initiatives like the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the surgical robot, digital technology across the trust is going to go from strength to strength and this gives the students exposure to how this will influence their work on qualifying.”
