Our Clinical Education Team are feeling ultra-proud right now as their Nurse Preceptorship programme has been awarded the Preceptorship Quality Mark by the national team.

The programme is there to welcome and integrate newly registered nurses here at CHFT.  Getting the mark is the gold standard nationally and a real recognition of the drive and commitment by our Clinical Education Team in the work they do to support our preceptees.

Matron for Workforce Development, Vicki Power, said: “We knew we had a strong programme, and we often have others come to see it, but the Preceptorship Quality Mark serves as a national gold standard and to have received this formal recognition is fantastic.  The support it provides makes a difference to the preceptees and hopefully helps us retain these nurses in careers at CHFT.

“Senior Educator Lisa Roper and Clinical Educators Kim Sisson-Pell and Rosie Bevan have worked closely together and with me ensuring that we have programme that is strongly aligned to the framework.

“As you can imagine I am extremely proud of them and their hard work, ambition and passion for preceptorship and education.”

Chief Nurse, Lindsay Rudge, said: “I couldn't be more proud of the team. I know it's taken time, effort and determination for the Quality Mark to be achieved. It's been a real labour of love, and will continue to support our much-valued newly registered nurses as they settle in to their roles here at CHFT”
