This week, our tissue viability nurses are touring the Trust to raise awareness of pressure ulcers as part of #StopThePressure Week, which runs from today until Friday 17th November.
Tissue Viability Nurse, Claire Spence, said: "Pressure ulcer prevention is at the heart of tissue viability and Stop the Pressure is a national campaign to raise awareness and preserve patient safety. We will be completing trolley dashes on the wards and have information stands at HRI main entrance, CRH outside the canteen and at Westgate House."
If you see them out and about, do stop and say hello. They'll have lots of information and resources about how to prevent pressure ulcers.
