Our Consultant Nurse for Mental Health and keen musician, Ian Noonan, is joining a concert by The Band of The Royal Air Force College, to help raise money for CHFT’s charity.
It’s part of a year-long series of events hosted by Councillor Cahal Burke, Mayor of Kirklees, who has chosen our Charity alongside the Royal Air Force Association (Huddersfield branch) to be the Mayor's Charity of the Year 2023/24.
One of these events is the concert on 1st December at 7pm in Huddersfield Town Hall.
As well as featuring The Band of the Royal Air Force College – for one night only, Ian will join them on stage.
Ian, pictured with a bass clarinet said: “I thought it was a great opportunity to celebrate, and what better way to celebrate than through music! I’m delighted to have been invited to join the band for this concert.
“It is a real celebration of community. Making music together, with the RAF College Band, Gledholt Male Voice Choir and the 'Choir of the World' winners, Lindley Junior School Choir, will be such an honour.
"I trained as a musician and music therapist before becoming a mental health nurse and have always found that music is such an important part of many peoples’ lives. It is a privilege to play and sing with others. It is really moving to be part of something bigger than us and to create something beautiful together. This sort of collaboration reflects the values of CHFT really well. Together we can achieve more than any of us can on our own".
