Congratulations to all our colleagues and external candidates who successfully completed the Advanced Paediatric Life Support course, held last month.

During the course participants developed the knowledge and skills to recognise and treat seriously injured or critically unwell children, through lectures and simulations. They all immersed themselves enthusiastically to make the course a success.

First time APLS attendee Gemma said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was well structured and interesting. I have developed vital team working skills and I now feel more confident in how to manage a seriously ill child."

Resuscitation Training Officer, Juliet Hendrick, said: “It was wonderful to be able to deliver the course to pre-pandemic numbers of candidates for the first time. The course is in high demand nationally and we are proud to be able to offer this opportunity to our staff as well as external candidates.

“Thank you to all our wonderful faculty for their ongoing commitment.”
