Last night the worthy winners of our Go See category were the AHP Workforce and Education Team.
This team has engaged extensively with all Allied Health Professionals and implemented changes to make improvements to learning and development opportunities. Recruitment and retention of AHPs has significantly improved as a result.
Picking up the Award, Workforce Project Development Manager, Sophie Box, said: "This team has only been in place for a year - all with the aim of improving our recruitment and retention.
"We're very visible, and get out there and speak to people. We're seeing big changes and people want to come and work here.
"As a team we have fun and get on well, but a special mention to our Clinical Educator, Arley Byrne, who I've worked with for 10 years. He's amazing at what he does."
Their nomination said: “The team have reached out to all Allied Health Professionals to identify what would improve their roles, implementing their suggestions. They have worked with external partners to ensure a collaborative approach to increasing the AHP workforce. There are now opportunities, beyond becoming a registered healthcare professional, to join CHFT as a Level 2 Apprentice.”
Well done to our other finalists in this category, the Clinical Site Team (Patient Flow), Jennifer Clark, Karen Farrer and the Operating Services Transformation and Modernisation Team.
