Sexual Health Consultant, Lindsay Short, was crowned our One Culture of Care winner - citing it as a team effort when she collected her trophy.
Last year, a global Monkeypox had a huge impact on the Sexual Health Service and Lindsay lead the response.
Lindsay’s nomination said: "She led the Monkeypox vaccination programme, carrying out most of the clinics in her own time on top of her other clinical commitments. She has been meticulous in making sure sessions were full, so that no vaccine was wasted. We are one of the smallest sexual health services in the region but have delivered the second-most vaccinations.”
Picking up the Award, Lindsay was asked said: “I couldn't have done it without the help of our admin and secretarial support.
"We sometimes feel we're offsite and out of mind, especially when dealing with marginalised groups in society, so it's a great honour to be recognised in this way."
Our other finalists in this category were the Rapid Diagnostic Team, Andrea Marren, Stevie O'Connell and Rosaleen Sunderland. Well done to them all for being shortlisted.
