Colleagues may have noticed that there are a number of laundry cages in the car parking spaces next to the infection control building at HRI in North Drive.

Due to Environmental legislation, chemicals used in flame retardants (such as office chairs, sofas etc) must be disposed of appropriately, so we have had to hire a permanent skip, which is outside in the waste yard.

This means we've also had to move some of the laundry cages near to the Infection Control buildings with the loss of four car parking spaces.

This will be a permanent measure and once it is established just how much space we do need to store the Laundry, the area will then have the line marking removed and a permanent fence erected.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but we have no alternative options for storage.
