Our Rising Apprentice CHuFT Award finalists are getting ready to celebrate on Thursday evening.

Trainee Nursing Associate, Harley Ingham, said: "I still can’t quite believe I’ve even been nominated let alone a finalist. This course is the hardest thing I’ve done but will be the most rewarding and with the support of the SAU team I feel I can achieve anything!"

Administrative Apprentice, Katie Collins, said: "When I found out I had been nominated I was thrilled, and then when I found out I was a finalist, I couldn’t believe it! I was amazed – it was truly wonderful news.

"I don’t think I should take too much of the spotlight though, this nomination is not only a reflection of myself, but the Clinical Education Team too. I have developed and grown immensely during my time here, and I attribute so much of that to this team. I came here with no experience behind me, so I was incredibly nervous about how I would get on, but everyone has given me so much support and that’s allowed me to achieve everything that I have.

"I’m excited to see how I much further I can progress in the next year."

Apprentice Healthcare Assistant, Megan Regan, said: "I would just like to say that I am very honoured to be nominated let alone be a finalist for the CHuFT awards. I'm just doing something that I love doing. Without the support of the SAU team and my assessors, I wouldn't have been able to get to the position I am in."
