Getting to the bottom of her ironing pile is top of District Nurse Karen Robinson’s list, after she retired last week, following 28 years’ service in the NHS.
In that time she has worked in mental health, ICU, elderly and community nursing, and she achieved her District Nursing qualification three years ago, working in central Halifax.
She said: “I’ve worked in the Community Healthcare Division for eight years and it’s been a wonderful time. My colleagues are all so hard-working and I’ve made many friends. I must also say that the patients have made my time working in the District Nurse role such a pleasure.
“My ironing pile is huge, so I might have to make getting a new iron top of my to-do list, along with decorating, travelling and spending time with my grandchildren.”
Your colleagues are going to miss you, Karen.
