Community Speech and Language Therapist, Alex Hill, is gearing up to run a hilly half-marathon in Oldham later this month, to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
Alex said: “It’s been a good few years - more than a decade - since I’ve taken part in a race, and having a goal has definitely helped with getting the training in. Running is brilliant for just getting out there and having some headspace. I’m just hoping the sore muscles and aching knees will hold out!”
She added: “The MND Association provide exceptional support to those living with MND, their relatives and healthcare professionals. I see just how much of a difference their support provides on a daily basis. One of their key services is the loan of communication aids, which help to provide a voice for those living with MND.
“So whatever contribution colleagues can make will help make a difference – thank you.”
Colleagues can donate to The MND Association through Alex's Just Giving page.
