This coming Friday (13th October) we’ll be celebrating all our Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) with some sweet and savoury treats.

As a small token of thanks for all our AHP colleagues do, there will be pizzas and cupcakes available on the day. Just bring your ID badge to either the CRH Learning Centre or HRI Physiotherapy Gym between 12:00 and 13:00 on Friday.

Pizza will also be available for our community AHP colleagues this coming Wednesday, 11th October at Beechwood Health Centre, Broad Street Plaza and Brackenbed IMC between 12:00 and 13:00.

AHP Workforce Manager, Sophie Box, said: "There are 14 AHP professions, and here at CHFT 10 are represented. We’ve got dynamite dietitians, phenomenal podiatrists, radiant radiographers, super sonographers and sensational speech and language therapists - to name but a few. There are actually almost 900 AHPs here at CHFT, making them our second largest workforce.

"Thank you to all our AHPs, and support workers for their hard work, dedication and motivation. And for always looking after each other and showing incredible care to your patients.

"This year has been a big one for AHPs. With the roll-out of AHP Preceptorship, exciting new roles within Research and Occupational Health, degree apprentices, monthly support worker training and international recruitment - including our first intake of international Occupational Therapists and Radiographers."
