Colleagues will be able to take a to look around our new, state-of-the-art A&E unit during our Colleague Open Day tomorrow.

Please register for a ticket if you would like to attend. You can drop in between 8am and 4:30pm throughout the day.

Teams will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to show you round the new facility. Please access the unit from the top of South Drive.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with the transition of the new the A&E at HRI. Internally, we are working towards this taking place between 20:00 on the 27 September and 20:00 on the 28 September, although this date is subject to change. 

Volunteer roles will include:

• Helping with the movement of equipment from the old to new HRI ED
• Assisting with diet and fluid rounds for both patients and staff within the old and new HRI ED
• Guiding and assisting relatives and patients who present post 00:00 to the old HRI ED
• Guiding and assisting relatives and patients who are unable to find the new HRI ED
